tasks-sync privacy policy

What tasks-sync is

tasks-sync is a command-line program that runs on the user's own computer. It has no server component. Nobody other than the user operates it or can see its data.

What Google data it accesses

How the data is used and stored

Task data is stored in a database file on the user's computer so that it can be read and edited locally and synchronised with Google Tasks. The OAuth access and refresh tokens Google issues at sign-in are stored in a file on the same computer, readable only by the user's account. No data is sent to any party other than Google's own APIs. No data is used for advertising, sold, or shared.

Use of Google user data

tasks-sync's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Deleting data and revoking access

Deleting the database and token files on the user's computer removes all data the tool holds. Access can be revoked at any time from the user's Google account permissions page, after which the stored token stops working.
